Now we have a bit more than two weeks to close for Koop. Would have liked to see Matias in black and white again, but it wasn’t meant to be.
I have a feeling this will bite us in the ass in the future. Hoping I’m wrong though, of course.
Any numbers for this operation?
I wished we could have kept him, but a midfield with Luiz, Thuram and Koopmeiner is hot as fuck
Why do I feel like we’re gonna buy this back for like 60mln
i don’t like it. and i really hope we already have an agreement with Atalanta for koopmeiners and we were only waiting for some cash.
Otherwise. and even with Koopmeiners, what about Chiesa and Kostic? If we spend money for Koopmeiners there is no money to replace a wing, unless the budget for this market is much higher than 40m.
Di Gregorio on loan will be paid next year by Rovella….ok
Todibo, if he comes on loan as i read, will be paid by next extra budget for the market (this means we are using next year extra budget in 2024)
So every other transfer must cost equal or less what we get from selling players. Selling Hujsen and Soulè was easy….what about Arthur and McKennie?? get good money from them now
Sad to see him go to a (semi-) rival, but I get the sense he will be another one of those technical players who are effective as a focal point at a smaller club but lack the tactical discipline to be successful at a bigger club. We’re probably selling him for the same reason we (and no other big clubs) never bought Berardi even though he’s been consistently effective in Serie A.
This is good business. It was clear from the start the initial ask of 35-40M was just a negotiating tactic, the reported figures are closer to the player’s value. I’m surprised to see many people here believing this will make us look stupid in the long run, I couldn’t think of a single player who ever moved from Juve to Roma and made us regret him. Soulé is a good player but I think it’s a stretch to believe he’s ever going to be world class.
For everyone criticizing our board to the extreme for selling him, need I remind you the same outrage occurred when we sold Rovella to Lazio last year, does anyone remember what he did there last season? Yeah me neither so the point that I’m trying to make here is, relax it’s not the end of the world (also we needed this move to happen so we can finally get our claws on Koopmeiners)
Hmm. We don’t have any good winger besides Chiesa. Get that Kostic out of the squad asap please
I don’t understand all the attachments I see lately to players who yes have played well for other lower level teams, but still have so much to prove at higher levels. Next Gen and our young players will always be used to bring in extra capital to fund our mercato. Yes, every now and then a star will be born and hopefully we keep him, BUT cannot predict the future. Juve has to do what feels best for the moment and for the current team.
Also, everyone uses Henry as a reference ALL THE TIME… but we had prime Del Piero and Inzaghi starting upfront with Zidane, Davids, Conte in midfield… and that summer we brought in a certain player named Zambrotta who we still haven’t found a true replacement for hahaha. We all know what a legend Henry became, but at the time Juve didn’t need him. (Ps. TrezeGOLLLLL came the following summer and made up for the Henry sale)
this hurts me. really hurts me a lot.
I will go to my grave believing this trade is sewage added to some juice. Juice sweetness no longer matters.
I don’t like it, but what can you do. Hopefully it’s for the betterment of the club. I’d wish he’d go to a different league at least, though.
Will we have any wingers left by the start of the season? lol
Wish there was a buyback clause at least but if it gets us Koop and we keep chiesa then it’s not bad all around
