  41. Teddy Roosevelt, Truman and LBJ were some of the most important/consequential presidents in our history, all started their term as VP.

    Pence, Harris, and Biden — three VPs — have proven to be *deeply* impactful as VP picks the past four years. Also, our oldest general election candidate ever just made the most unpopular VP pick since at least Palin. Before Trump picked Vance, Trump picked Pence…and Pence broke more ties in Congress than anybody else in our lives — Pence was important as VP even before the controversies of January 6th.

    And Trump knows VPs are important. He just survived an assassination attempt, and the first thing he did after that was pick Vance in case he’s shot again. Trump’s just mad he fucked up a hiring decision (not that anybody aware of his administration’s retention rate should be surprised by that).

    VPs matter — some more than others. Tell me George H.W. Bush didn’t impact this nation for decades since his tenure.

    VPs matter and they always have.

It’s almost comical watching these clowns continue to dig themselves deeper and deeper into a hole, isolating themselves from independents and on the fence republicans while Harris is excelling at bringing energy and momentum back to the democratic party. I believe we will see Trumps behavior to get more and more erratic and unhinged while Harris and her VP continue to dial in their strategy and swing many of the burnt out or isolated voters back to the side of sanity. For the first time in a long time I actually have hope, and I’m clinging on to that hope until this election is over. If she loses i’ll deal with it then, but right now for the sake of all of our sanity we have to believe she will win. The only other option is the complete and total demise of every single thing that makes America actually great. If you crack a history book you’ll quickly see that Trump has gone full on megalomaniac and will continue to pursue power and authoritarian rule at all costs, there is no turning back now and this is exactly how it’s happened all over the world in every other country ruled by a dictator. You stir nationalism, create a cult of personality, find a target(with hitler the jews and with trump everybody that’s not rich and white) and then convince the general public to give up their rights for the sake of protecting their rights lol. It’s textbook and he needs to lose or we are hosed. He absolutely can and will make sure that we don’t have another election let alone any sensible policy or legislation. Get out and vote people, let’s kick this asshole to the curb once and for all. I think we are all ready to put the words “Donald Trump” out of our vocabulary for the rest of our lives.
