I genuinely feel that the Raúl and Guti combo is mostly underrated and deserves more flowers from all of us. What are your favorite moments and stories of this attacking duo? How do you think they compare to today's stars?

  1. Raul’s entire career is a favorite moment of mine. Lol. But honestly, I loved him and his ability adapt to whatever role the team needed him to play in attack. My favorite goal of his has to be the long range screamer at the Bernabeu against United in 02/03.

    For Guti, El Tacón de dios is absolutely the greatest assist ever for me. The assist for Zidane is right up there as well. I wish he had a lot more continuity of role in the first team. But still a legend!

  2. I only got to see them while they were on their way out (a bit unfair in Raul’s case considering that he still had 2 more good years at least). They just had a different aura that really fascinated me. Even if they didn’t play much, especially Raul made me understand what it means to be a Madridista and a football legend in general.

  5. Two legends of the greatest club. Regardless of how the club was going , these two were such a joy to watch

  6. I love both of them, but golden era? Half of their years in Madrid were quite tough years (2003-2010), with lack of European success and Barcelona often dominating Clasicos.

    2014-2018 and 2022-2024 is much more of a golden era.
