Breakthrough in the negotiations for Jonathan Tah. Bayern and Leverkusen have reached an agreement in principle for the defender. The fee agreed is the region of €25m fixed plus €5m add-ons. However, the transfer is not done yet and depends on the sale of Matthijs de Ligt.

18. If this leads to Doue also then it’s probably okay. I’m skeptical about getting rid of De Ligt but he has had numerous injury problems and is not great at playing out of the back. He failed to start for the Dutch Euro team (competition is steep for sure) and he failed to replace Dier after getting fit at the end of last season. I’m open to being told I’m nuts but MDL is a bit overrated in this sub and apparently in the world given the mediocre fees we’ve seen quoted.

    Edit: Realized Bayern will need to sell Maz too at least for Doue. Coman as well perhaps. No way they can keep Sane, Coman, Gnabry, Olise, Bryan, and possibly Doue lol. Bryan, Maz (who are both rumored) and another have to go too. Hopefully someone budges or we just stick with Coman and Gnabry I guess.
