  1. not to sound like a fanboy, but the standard was peolly put buy a messi fan, orelse how would cr7 would be -relatively- so low on that chart.. maybe if he simply put “goals per 90” instead of “non-penalty goals”, cr7 would come 2nd at least.

  2. Why is CR7 not up there?

  3. Ronaldo is “low” because this ignores his time playing as a winger for so many years.

  4. This is ridiculous, goals/assists aren’t the only metric for players smh

  5. It’s impressive, but Ligue 1 and specially French Cup boost these stats. Let’s see how he fares with Madrid, but I don’t doubt it will be similar.

  6. CR7 being so low is probably because of his United years when he played as a winger, and wasnt really scoring what his output at Madrid would be (other than his Ballon D’or winning season there).

Also why Messi is higher. It is because his peak was more consistent (40-50 goals per season around a 15 year timespan), and already had the goal numbers he was known for at the same ages that CR7 was at United.

But boy did CR7 have a REALLY HIGH peak to make up for it somewhat.
