Plane carrying 61 people crashes in Brazil

A plane carrying 61 people has crashed in São Paulo, Brazil.

The plane came down over the city of Vinhedo, the Brazilian-based airline Voepass confirmed.

Data from Flightradar24, the flight-tracking website, showed it had been heading north-east between the cities of Cascavel to Guarulhos when it crashed a short distance from its final destination.

A short clip published on social media shows the plane falling out of the sky and spiralling towards the ground, but not the moment of impact. It is unclear what caused it to crash.

  1. Absolutely heartwretching 😢💔 My heart goes out to the ones who have passed away but also to the families and loved ones. Very sad! 😢

  2. This is so terrifying. I’ve always had nightmares that I witness planes crashing. This is like a real life nightmare. Horrible.

  3. The little fire indicated that it may have ran out of fuel, when a plane with a full thank of fuel crash the house it crashed by would been gone

  4. This plane has too many flaws, how many crashes and lives does it take to ground this plane. Another accident?

  5. Why can't aircraft companies come up with a strong parachute or even an air bag that pops from under the plane to make the impact less strong I'm not good on physics but it might help

  6. Does it look 2023 when that atr72 feathered its prop and it stalled and it fell out the sky and this new one looks like it fell similarly or it could have been to much rudder

  7. This sunday is father's day here in Brazil. I wonder how many people had already bought their gifts as they received the news that their father would never get to receive it. Too sad 😢

  8. 8 cancer researchers were on that plane, and it just so happens to crash when they were on their way to an important conference.

  9. Notice how there was no practically no fire near the crash site. Usually a plane crash like this will turn into an inferno with fuel blowing up on impact. Here all the trees are fine, the building next to the plane wasn't even scortched.

I'm gonna call it. They ran out of fuel due to a faulty sensor. Then as the engines started to fail due, pilots made a mistake and stalled the plane.

  10. Last year the same aircraft model crashed in Nepal with an equally disturbing video caught of its crash both from outside and INSIDE the plane. They should retire all ATRs until they find out the reason for this crash.
