Goretzka, who was healthy and fit to play, sat on the bench for 90 minutes against Tottenham & has practically no prospects in Munich. He must now decide if he wants to fulfill his contract, even though he no longer plays a major role in the club’s plans

Kompany is ruthless when it comes to squad overhaul. It’s messed up but very much needed.
I feel Flick wouldn’t have been as ruthless had he returned this season.
That‘s the hard reality for him
He’s good for a couple matches a year, to score a much needed goal but that are others too.
Wouldn’t be bad for him to change the work environment.
He is a really good player and I like him a lot, but it looks like there is to much quality on this position. Plus he does’nt fit the system that well.
So he’s getting paid to stay at home and fuck off for atleast a year ? What team wants to pay that money for that production ?
I still think he should go to Atletico like the original rumors were saying. He could transition more toward a defensive mid (kinda like Schweini) and change his game a bit to suit their style. I truly think he could have a career renaissance of sorts there under Simeone.
Matchday 4 and he’ll be starting matches because everybody else is either injured or still shit.
All it takes is a 3 man midfield, Palinha CDM, Kimmich second CDM/deep playmaker CM and Goretzka second CM/CAM (box to box) and the guy is going to shine again. But hey, the guy that got relegated in the Prem knows better than me
It’s so fascinating to see the constant flip flopping. Before it was Goretzka had a good season despite being in Tuchel’s doghouse early on and deserved to be called up to the euros. Now suddenly he’s not good and had a terrible season outside of lime 2 or 3 games.
I like Goretzka.
Expected more of him in the long term honestly, he’s not here since a season.
But i still like him.
Intelligent human with a own opinion as well, which i count as a plus…
Has he dropped off that much?
