For those of you that follow Serie A from the UK, the rights have been diced up between TNT and OneFootball with two games being shown on TNT per matchday and the remainder being shown on OneFootball with some being shown for free and others on a pay-per-view basis.

Well done Serie A for sabotaging yourself further and alienating even more fans.

  1. Insanity. I legitimately wonder what has caused these insanely long negotiations for so many countries

  2. Could see this coming last year when they had games but no Sunday night studio show! The years of Sky and TNT pumping their budget into the insanely expensive EPL rights is probably the reason they have completely scaled back their operations for the other 4 of 5 top leagues.

  3. It’s getting clear Serie A proposed a hefty all-inclusive fee and eventually settled for a much smaller deal sold to Discovery. Now they are trying to make up the losses by selling one-off options to other broadcasters that are clearly not as committed or have the same business structure. Serie A fucked up and very badly, especially if they want to protect their product, they are underselling their evening matches knowing PPW is stupid for 2nd-tier fixtures

  4. TNT put up the subs and we get less for it, clowns. I only subscribe to TNT for MotoGP and Serie A. Might have to look at cancelling

  5. So I am wondering if I am understanding this right. This week on discovery which is a paid subscription they are showing Inter-Genoa and Roma-Calgari. On onefootball these two games are £5 each but all the rest look to be free. Is this going to be consistent for the season in that the PPV games on onefootball will be the same games that are exclusive to discovery?

If this is the case then it is a shit model, but the end of the day I still end up paying for discovery to get all the games (although they didnt even broadcast all the games last season some were skipped so arguably an improvement if you want to watch everything).

    Is this correct?

  6. Serie A can’t even sell itself in Italy, they’re bad in other countries as well as i see

  7. So outside of the 2 Discovery matches all Serie A games are free on One Football? That sounds like a bargain.
