In light of his questionable morals and general aggregator tendencies, we have floated the idea of not allowing his content to be posted here. We have also seen some movement in other subs possibly going in the same direction.

The mod team would like input from the members of this sub about how you feel on letting Fabrizio Romano posts stay up or not.

We value your voices and want you to be an active part of decisions that are made in this community, so any feedback you might have on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

For those inquiring about the questionable morals point, here is a link for some more explanation.

  1. I say let them stay up, I don’t mind them tbh. At the end of the day, he’s a transfer news aggregator.

  2. Don’t see the issue with it being posted. If people can’t think for themselves and just take his word as gospel then that’s their issue.

  3. I mean, it’s quite the hit & miss with him (mostly miss unless he taps it in), but for the sake of discussion, spicyness and variety I would keep his stuff up, specially variety, considering the amount of posts we get asking about Pep’s wardrobe.

  4. It’s fine. Banning would be mod overreach.

I do like the disclaimer though

  5. If it’s not the very first transfer rumour for a player or a Here We Go, I’d prefer if the sub stayed clear of him. Can’t stand the dozens of non-updates in between

  6. His posts are bang on and one of the most reliable journos.

Ridiculous if you don’t allow posts

  7. I think the quality of the sub would be improved without his posts, but I don’t think it’s a serious issue.

  8. Take them same as any other ITK. great for starting the ‘why him, who leaves, will he fit the system’ chat/discussions etc but never take em seriously.

  9. No issue with Fabrizio posts. He is pretty damn spot on even if it takes 100 tweets sometimes to get the final answer.

  10. Most times he gets anything right, it’s a coincidence. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. No idea why people give this guy the time of day.

  11. Not a fan of censorship. The community should decide what stays or goes through up/downvote and reporting.

  12. He’s a Mason Greenwood professional D rider. He’ll do anything for clout and money

  13. Aggregators have no business being quoted as sources. Especially paid shills who are bought off mouthpieces for agents.

Only actual news sources that have editors should be allowed as top level posts in my opinion.

  14. The same people that live and breathe the latest rumour are the ones that complain when a deal falls through that the source is full of shit.

  15. Post his stuff here. It’s kind of ridiculous that as a sub they’ve been discrediting him for a bit. Right after the Josko reports came out there was this disclaimer on anything Romano related. He was right the entire time.

  16. I’d say only transfer scoops or “here we go’s” allowed. None of that filler and rumor shit.

  17. I don’t believe it until I see the “there we land” anyway.

  18. Can we have an automod comment on any Romano source that points out that he’s an apologist for a rapist?

  19. The problem isn’t with him, it’s the people who only believe what he says and don’t realize he just aggregates what everyone else says
