WHO declares Mpox outbreak global emergency

The World Health Organization has declared the mpox outbreaks in Congo and elsewhere in Africa a global emergency, with cases confirmed among children and adults in more than a dozen countries and a new form of the virus spreading. Few vaccine doses are available on the continent.

Earlier this week, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the mpox outbreaks were a public health emergency, with more than 500 deaths, and called for international help to stop the virus’ spread.

“This is something that should concern us all … The potential for further spread beyond Africa and beyond is very worrying,” said WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

  1. The laboratories making these viruses to control minerals and now you want to tell us the virus has escaped the target audience heading towards every border? Let me say this, we not get injected with your chemicals to meet anyone standard of protection. We know the drift and we read the news before it hit the mainstream. Keep testing waters probably one time you'll be lucky but we not ready for global governance from self selected few.

  2. many of us saw this coming and the WHO controlling everything, so watch out everyone, lockdowns coming, but not the airports that spread it around the world just like their Covid., then we will have to have health pass ID's, thanks Tedros the puppet.

  3. Surely not every person in this comment section is an ignorant right-wing cabbage? Surely? What a sad and pathetic day for humanity.

  5. I pray for all affected wherever they are in the world and for protection of all who come into can’t act with those affected as they show care and compassion. With that said please understand that we are in the UK and they are in Africa. This is another argument against allowing mass uncontrolled immigration.
