Manchester City are frontrunners to re-sign
Ilkay Gundogan.
He is expected to leave Barcelona for free. Terms between the player and City still need to be discussed. Pep and Gundogan have already spoken.

  1. Would love to see him back, but it definitely tells us that the club was too stubborn when they didn’t want to give him a two year extension. On the other hand, I also appreciate the club not being too stubborn to admit they were wrong by trying to get him back.

Let’s hope this works out. And hopefully he’ll get a spot at the club after he ends his career.

  2. This will be the first time Pep has ever resigned a player which I think is pretty interesting.
He managed Thiago and Nolito, but he’s never resigned a player before.

Gundo was Peps first signing at City and I think it shows a real amount of respect from Pep for Gundo, I wonder if they will go out together or if there is a future coaching assistant role for Gundo under Peps wing
