Parma’s keeper Suzuki got sent off in the 76th minute with Parma 1-0 up and without any subs remaining. Defender and captain Enrico Del Prato volunteered to go into the net for the remainder of the game Napoli ended up scoring in 90+2 and 90+6 to win it.

Actually Bernabe volunteered first to be the goalkeeper, but the team decided they needed him in midfield somehow. He even took off his shirt already before Del Prato. The commentator mentioned all this as well as what’s shown on TV.
I think it was a mistake not to go with Bernabe. He at least seem confident and eager to try. Del Prato face was a nervous wreck after the first backpass to him.
I believed Parma would have at least got a draw or maintained their lead. The other defenders wanted the ball played to them short and try to keep the ball, but Del Prato keep punting them but his kicks only reached half way line and it was easier for Napoli to get the ball back each time.
Del Prato is a good player and captain for Parma, just thought should let Bernabe go in goal instead.
What was the goalie thinking… awful awful decision
Back when it was possible to do only three substitutions most coaches would do only two to save the last one for such emergencies.
I think it’s incredible that nowadays when you can do up to five they still come up with such situations.
After the gk got sent off, the whole Parma team made a terrible performance. A draw, in my opinion, with a bit more effort on keeping the ball instead of immediately throwing it away, would have been possible.
