  1. No you don’t understand, everyone on r/soccer told me these claims never happened the other day

  2. That sub is a joke. I think it is where the people that are even too dumb to be commenting on /r/soccer are exiled to.

  3. Meanwhile Nunez can’t even start a game at Liverpool at the moment. 💀

  4. Darwin can’t even throw a chair during the copa america match. Let alone scoring goals lol.

  5. noooo!!! you are not right!!! darvin nuniez is the best striker!!!! i refuse to accept the truth 👺👺👺👺

  6. I wanted to make fun of rival fans for that take but then I remembered there was a section of our fanbase who rated Alvarez ahead of Haaland.

  7. Definitely hasn’t aged too well. I wouldn’t say Nunez flopped at Liverpool but he’s certainly been nowhere near the baller that the fans were hyping him up to be

  8. I find it funny that the poster is an Arsenal fan who is glazing a Liverpool player 💀

  9. Not just people in that terrible sub, and not just last year!!

    SkySports 2-weeks ago:

[Is Erling Haaland really that good?](https://youtu.be/mwKm8e_D0cQ?si=6MjJObJrhB6GFPHT)

*The Times*, also 2-weeks ago, granted this is the journalist in that segment:

[Erling Haaland: This season will prove if Man City striker is true great](https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/erling-haaland-man-city-premier-league-season-k5xp88whx)

—> btw they edit the title, my text was original title. WTF so he isn’t yet great, um ok.

    Some gems as these;
    > Virgil van Dijk’s mastery of Haaland in one-on-one situations when City met Liverpool in March became an internet meme.

—-> maybe w some fans, but *The Athletic* did a whole analysis on the fascinating matchup of 2 masters of their craft.

    > There is a distinct pattern of him finding it much harder to score against opponents at the higher end of the league and easier against the weakest ones.

—-> Wow, it’s harder to score against better teams? Who knew 🙄.

But also, Erling had a better goal rate v Big 6 than Kane, Henry, Suarez, and even Aguero.

And 15g + 7a in 20 PL appearances v Big 6 seems pretty solid to me.

Yes he hasn’t (yet) scored in a ManCity SF or F, but I’m confident he will in near future!

This type of stuff annoys me – why I avoid that sub, ha. Rant over, thank you.

  10. They always use this “all around” excuse, when they are actually talking about dribbling and aesthetics. Haaland is the best finisher, best positioning, decent passer, he’s strong and fast. I hate when people simplify what Haaland is doing to, “oh he just scores goals”.

Watkins, Isak, Nunez, Alvarez, whoever, might be a better dribbler, but that doesn’t make them better all around.

  11. I mean that’s a soccer sub not the Football one. So, fair enough.

  12. Nunez is objectively inconsistent in every facet except energy.

  13. livershit are the biggest jokes to read bout.

their victim mentality has given me a new found respect for them

  14. These type of opinions were pretty common last season. “Darwin nunez is a better footballer than haaland”. “Julian alvarez is a better footballer than haaland”. Apparently because all haaland does is score so he is less complete lmao. Im telling you he is just one more goalless game away for these type of shitty posts to come back..
