Now it’s official! Arthur Melo is included in the UCL squad for this season. He is staying. What are your thoughts and expectations on him coming back to Juventus?

  2. I get why people want him out because of his performances and high salary but I feel that maybe with Motta he will be different

  3. I think technically speaking he could fit in Motta’s team as a sub but i think mentality wise Motta will crush him

  4. Thoughts: bummer for both him and us. He won’t play and we’re still stuck with his wages. Expectations: none. He doesn’t have the work rate, physicality (strength and speed), ability to win the ball/tackle, or passing range to fit into Motta’s tactics. He’s also seventh in our midfield depth chart.

  5. No expectations really so any half decent performance is welcome

    People might be fuming but the only way to offload him is give him some play time

    Who knows, maybe he plays a good game in CL and some team takes a gamble on him

  6. We lost a really good midfielder when we got this guy, one of the best free kick takers in the world at the time.

    What we got in return is a seat warmer and a ban due to stupid financial regulations from this transfer.

    Those are not his faults though, let’s at least hope he can be a useful sub this year.

  7. I don’t mind him as an option here and there since we can’t realistically expect to have top players as a fourth or fifth option from the bench. I wish we could have got someone better with that salary but it is what it is, hopefully Motta can get something good out of him who knows

  12. Compared to our new midfield I just can’t accept artur back… He’s so weak and makes bad decisions in front of goal for Juve. Also injury prone, I just feel hes still here cause of the shady deal with Pjanic… 3/10 business IMO

  20. I think he’s a better fit to Motta’s style than Mckennie.

    I don’t think he’s a bad player, he’s just injured all the time and has high wages and Allegri didn’t value possession retention. He was our best mid in the Pirlo season.

  24. He wont play anyway. If he gets sold it isnt to another UCL team so its no big deal. He’ll see minutes if literally everyone is out

  26. He’ll come on as a sub a few times, and run down his contract at Juventus, just like we all knew when we first saw him play.

  33. You know he has become a meme but if he plays anything like he could have played even if he is half the player he was at some point in Barca then its like signing a great midfielder. Will he do it? I don’t think so but motta does improve players so for both parties it would be good.

  34. Considering how shit Locatteli is, I really don’t mind giving him a 10th chance. I don’t think he can outshit Locatelli!
