Yes. There was a thread last week about [someone missing out on gold medal because a guide crossed the finish line first](https://www.reddit.com/r/olympics/s/EmE0kUgc25). Someone mentioned in that thread that they both get medals.
There will definitely be a medal.
Do guides train with the athletes? What happens if a guide has some issue with “chemistry” with the athlete, or if the guide is faster, for example?
Depends on the sport and disability category. Most of the time they do, but some assistants don’t get medals
Is it the guide’s responsibility to take care of the shoelaces?
He’s doing a pretty bad job…
Others have given a proper and serious answer… but this made me think of aa bit decades ago, I think on “Not Necessarily The News” where the winner of a marathon was the camera man running backwards in front of the ‘leader’.
