At 39, Modric is already the oldest player to feature for Madrid in both La Liga and the European Cup. However, he is now on the brink of breaking another record.
Modric aims to surpass the legendary Ferenc Puskas, who played his final match for Madrid at 39 years and 38 days old in May 1966. If all goes according to plan, Modric will break this 58-year-old record on October 19 or 20, during Madrid’s fixture against Celta Vigo at the Balaidos Stadium.

How did he do it at such a young age?
Great. But now play Guler and sub in Modric when the other team is tired.
