I’m beginning to think the ECHR has got nothing to do with getting rid of illegal boat people. If so, why are the other EU countries shoring up their borders and deporting people? Surely we can do this as well? The uni governments of Conservative and Labour have no will to stop the illegals. Surely if the illegals in French waters they should be returned to France, AND NOT ASKED WHERE THEY WANTED TO GO? This is all BS

A comment was made recently, why would someone from Albania pay thousands to the gangs to risk a small boat crossing when they could get a Ryanair flight for less than £50 and claim asylum at the border. The answer is obvious, they dont want people to know who they are as they discard their documents, now why would that be unless its criminal. If its criminal then they should be blocked immediately and returned from where they came from. A points based system is the only way to control Immigration.
