Jeremy Clarkson explains why he ended TV partnership with Richard Hammond and James May
Jeremy Clarkson has explained why he has ended his partnership with Richard Hammond and James May.
The trio first started working together on BBC’s Top Gear in 2002 and moved over to Amazon for Prime Video series The Grand Tour, which premiered in 2021.
However, a forthcoming special of the car show, titled One for the Road, will serve as a swansong for the trio’s onscreen partnership – and Clarkson, who is currently enjoying the biggest success of his career with Clarkson’s Farm, has reflected on why he decided to cut professional ties with both Hammond and May.

Using his comment with the Times to create nonsense clickbait – no wonder your newspaper is failing
It didn't premier in 2021 it premiered in 2016 lol
The absolute state of the British media.
Why use an AI voice-over? Oh yeah, the Independent doesn't have any real journalists…
So, a clickbait trailer narrated by some AI voice that is so low quality all the high end sizzles in HD.
They should appear from time to time on farm.
I agree with the other comments – bit rubbish.
just seen this who are theses people ?
Absolute bollocks
The fact that they stood by him after his childish tantrum to save his career but he now leaves because he has something successful by himself just shows what a shallow, narcissistic rat he is. I've never liked him and now like him even less.
Don't care what these 3 people do. There are boreing beyond belief.
Hope they don't go down the Black ,Broadcasting , Corporation, route, and force ethical presenters that have no personality on us because i won't watch as many are sick of mediocre . No one can replace them, so just leave it and finish on a high .Thanks, you three for years of good fun
Grand Tour did not debut in 2021. And Clarkson’s Farm is good, but not nearly as successful as Top Gear at it’s peak. Did a 15 year old make this video?
"Partnership", but not "Friendship". You know they all keep being bellends to each other outside of the spotlight 😂
He also doesnt like to drive eletric cars and reviews eletric cars
Im so going to miss these 3 muppets 😢
Fokin' clickbait
lol
They didn’t end anything. Amazon decided the bad publicity along with the pathetic returns on a high cost program watched mainly by boomers was not worth it plus the presenters were bigots lol. Good riddance to the drink driving decaying mammals
AT least Jeremy is being honest with himself and there's no animosity among the group .
the independent is trash
2021?!
Jesus, I thought the Independent was better than this
Who cares….
The 177 that liked this video is ai aswell.
A failed newspaper and it’s AI. Goodbye
Jeremy has more health problems than he wants to publicly admit, he's drank and smoked heavily for nearly 50 years. James and Richard could probably continue doing this for another 10 years, but they wouldn't want to without Jeremy.
The Grand Tour start in 2016th…. no 2021th
Why’s the independent using really shite AI for articles Insteadof paying staff???
Is that an AI voice ffs if your newspaper cant afford people to write or narrate articles then just DONT
Easy answer: he's old. They're all getting old. It's time to do old people things.
