BBC Studioshave announced the launch of BBC Player in Greece, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. This versatile streaming service will be accessible to viewers through Cosmote TV in Greece, Slovak Telekom’s Magio TV in Slovakia, and T-Mobile’s Magenta TV in the Czech Republic, starting this November.
Greek Viewers Get a Taste of British Brilliance
Greek audiences can now indulge in the best of British television with Cosmote TV’s addition of BBC Player. The platform will offer a diverse range of content, from gripping dramas like the Golden Globe-winning Luther starring Idris Elba to awe-inspiring natural history documentaries such as Mammals. Additionally, viewers can enjoy popular entertainment shows like Top Gear and The Great British Bake Off. All content will be subtitled in Greek.
Slovak and Czech Audiences Dive into BBC’s Rich Content Library
In Slovakia and the Czech Republic, BBC Player will be the go-to destination for captivating British dramas, side-splitting comedies, mind-blowing documentaries, and delightful children’s shows. Subscribers to Magio TV and Magenta TV can look forward to streaming a selection of their favorite series from the BBC’s existing linear channels, BBC Earth and BBC First, alongside brand-new offerings.
The content lineup includes compelling dramas like The Following Events are Based on a Pack of Lies and timeless classics like Pride & Prejudice. Documentaries such as The Trump Show and Putin – A Russian Spy Story will offer insightful perspectives on global events. For younger viewers, there’s the adorable Hey Duggee.
Localization for a Seamless Viewing Experience
To ensure a truly immersive viewing experience, BBC Player in Slovakia and the Czech Republic will be fully localized in Czech, with a combination of voice-over, subtitles, and dubbing for children’s content.
