Today the participants in the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 will be announced, while Ireland and Malta are active in their search for Eurovision 2025 entries.

The artists that will be competing in the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 will be revealed by RTL today.

Luxembourg will reveal the acts that are hoping to represent it in Basel today. The participants in the second edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest were selected after fifty-three artists took part in auditions earlier this month. From these auditions, twelve progressed to a second round from which the finalists were chosen.

The second edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest will take place on January 25 in Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette. The live final will see several acts compete to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel. A combination of an international jury and public voting will decide the winner.

Interested singers have until 19:00 CET to submit their song to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. Song submissions opened on September 23 and will have been open for just under two months when it closes this evening. The song submission rules and platform can be found here.

Ireland will be hoping to replicate the success of Bambie Thug who represented Ireland at Eurovision 2024. They brought Ireland their best result in the contest since 2000 by finishing 6th in the final with a total of 278 points.

The final of Eurosong 2025 will take place in February 2025 as part of The Late Late Show.

Malta’s search for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 gets underway today with the opening of the song submissions window.

From today until November 29, Maltese artists can submit their songs to compete in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Among the rules of the selection are:

Artists must be Maltese citizens. In case of acts with more than one person, the lead singer must be a Maltese citizen.
The winner of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Sarah Bonnici, may not participate in the 2025 contest as a main artist.
Songwriters and composers may be of any nationality.
Artists can participate with multiple songs.
Songs must not have been publicly released or performed before November 30 2024.

Once the song submission window has closed, a jury will evaluate all of the submissions. A total of 24 songs will be chosen to compete across two semi-finals on February 4 and 6. In each semi-final, a combination of jury and public voting will choose eight songs to advance to the final.

The final will take place on February 8 and will feature 16 songs. A combination of jury and public voting will decide the Maltese entry for Basel. All three shows will feature a live audience.
