Fresh graffiti has been daubed on a wall outside the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
The pro-Palestine slogan: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” was sprayed on the wall bordering the Falls Road in west Belfast on Wednesday night.
It comes just hours after police confirmed they were treating anti-DUP graffiti on the same wall as a “sectarian hate crime.”
DUP leader Gavin Robinson posed for pictures at the wall on the Falls Road last week urging the Belfast Trust to remove the original pro-Palestine slogan and flag that had been on the wall for six months.
The DUP leader previously said that a complaint about the presence of the writing was lodged with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust more than five months ago after he was contacted by local members of the Jewish community.
Earlier this week the pro-Palestine slogan was removed by contractors and a new anti-DUP and pro-Palestine message was sprayed on the wall shortly after.
A spokesperson for the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust said: “Belfast Trust can confirm that we are in discussions with a contractor so work to remove this graffiti can begin in the coming days.”

It lacks DUP hate.
Good
Good. The endless slaughter of children isn’t a political debate and those even trying to make it are the worst vermin that exist on the planet.
Gormless DUP once again take a mole hill, make it a mountain and are going to see this wall perpetually covered in pro palestine messages.
Surprised it took so long to go back up tbh. Fuck the DUP ✊
Where do they want the Jews to go exactly?
i don’t like how people are glossing over the fact that the PSNI are treating “Fuck the DUP” graffiti as a fucking sectarian hate crime are we being serious right now? last time i checked dup politicians aren’t part of a marginalised group?
Hopefully we get another update when it gets painted over and then again, another one when new graffiti reappears because this story is really interesting.
That will sure stick it to the Israelis
Streisand effect in full.. well, effect here. They made a big stink of the first one, it got replaced right away because of course it would and now it will be put up again and again. At least the local contracts are getting steady work. Good on them.
We just need big Gav to do another drive-by photo with the graffiti, looking even more constipated than last time.
It’s an overseas conflict playing out in a jurisdiction thousands of miles away.. No one situated on either Island has the necessary power, sway or influence to affect or change anything there. Why waste spray paint?
Western meddling (well meaning or otherwise) in middle eastern countries seems to result in chaos, mass death and displacement followed by a huge influx of migration the natives in destination countries seem averse to which triggers a reactionary rise toward the regressive far right.
Better to leave Israel and the other constituent players to it, try to spur talks etc which will hopefully bring about peace and mutually amicable resolutions all parties will feel sufficiently enfranchised in to uphold and safe guard.
Domestically. The focus should be upon Better hospitals, better standards of education for all abilities, more investment to drive innovation and opportunity..
Graffiti of the above nature seems like pointless posturing designed to bolster ego and cultivate brownie points. It serves no practical use and does nothing to help affected jurisdictions find a mutually beneficial peace and stability which will bring an end to the conveyor belt of tragedy, hatred and death.
