  1. David Beckham is an ambassador for The King’s Foundation, and has been at quite a few royal engagements, including multiple weddings.

  3. He’s been involved with the Prince’s Trust for a long time. They are both very friendly with William and Catherine. Lots of ties here.

Because he was an ambassador for the Qatar 2022 World cup, Charles invited that Kpop band when the South Korean president was visiting (I don’t remember their name), he probably couldn’t find any Qatari public figure to invite and had to settle for David, and David really wants that knighthood
