  2. I call bullshit on South Korea’s number. Double the number and it would probably be more believable.

  3. These statistics always have one major flaw, since they get slashed by part time work.

    Look at it like this. A couple from the Netherlands where one partner works full time 40 hours and one half time 20 hours, has an average working week of 30 hours and total one of 60hours.
    In the same time you have an Indian worker working 56hours, while the women doesn’t have a job and stays at home (female workforce participation in India is only around 10 percent). Now you’ve got average working hours of 56 hours per worker, yet the household is also only at 56 hours.
    If you cheese the statistic (and yes almost all of these statistics do look at this one) you could even argue that Dutch households work more than Indian ones.
