A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.
It is understood the arrest is in connection with an alleged incident while Armagh GAA was on a recent trip to the United States.
Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) arrested the man on Tuesday.
He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Solicitor's statement
In a statement, Patrick Higgins of Donnelly and Wall Solicitors said his client had "voluntarily presented himself the PSNI" on Tuesday.
"He co-operated fully with the PSNI in the initial stages of the investigation," the solicitor said.
"He is innocent of all charges and vows to do everything in his power to clear his name."
A group of about 100 people had gone to Miami in Florida in November to celebrate the team's All-Ireland win four months earlier.
It marked Armagh's first final in 21 years.
Armagh GAA, Ulster GAA and GAA headquarters did not respond to requests for comment from the BBC on Sunday when it was first reported that police had been alerted to the alleged incident.

Maybe everybody can let the courts do their job instead of speculating wildly
Meanwhile, back on their own beat:

Saying he’s 30 surely limits the pool a fair bit on who that can be.
What’s the law around the jurisdiction of this alleged incident?
Interesting that the same GAA that cries poverty can take 100 people on holiday to Florida
“Voluntarily presented himself”. Only because the police would have arrested him for questioning otherwise.
