clearly the elephant in the room here is mobile games
Wow! The list of apps I paid for (let alone pay for) is extremely short. So short that when I received a gift card for the App Store I wondered what/if I’d ever use it for. Still haven’t used it up… and I’vehad it for YEARS.
Who are the idiots spending money on tiktok?
Comics is bigger than music?
What is the name of the 2 apps in the comics group?
Is this mobile or software in general.
It’s be cool to see the percentage distribution of each section. Like digital entertainment probably is shared by maybe 5-10 apps, while other genres could be shared by 50+ apps.
Is there similar data on smaller apps? ie excluding netflix, disney, Google, Spotify etc.? Curious to see what granular categories people spend money on (like maybe productivity apps or recipe apps).
Good to see communications apps are still over a billion bc I’m working on one 😅
