What exactly is the EU-Mercosur trade deal that French farmers are so strongly opposed to?

1. E.U is just another WEF tool ! Another Hammer blow to Europe’s Farmers, They can’t compete with huge Latin American Farms where labour,materials are cheaper.

2. Absolutely !!! It’s not fair trade and European Union must protect interests of members of unions as donors to EU budget !!!
   Don’t protect middle man trade but do protect farmers !!!

4. This is lunacy. These people are complaining about their own taylor made regulations aimed exclusively at avoiding competition. Instead of dismantling their dumb regulations they demand to cancel a trade agreement 25 years in the making. Complete and total losers that add nothing to the economy.

7. French been stealing Africa resources for the last 100 years! the last 50 years they been selling overpriced unreliable cars in argentina at the same prices as Japanese and germans!…now they complaining ? never fair trade with them

   Who cares about french farmers, get rid of the EU subsidies for inefficient french farms.

9. This trade would be beneficial mainly for mining products. Iron, Copper, Silicon, and materials for batteries. Also we could boost the industrial activity exporting more stuff to south America.

   People completely forget we are entering in a fricking crisis, with layoffs everywhere, and a huge deindustrialization in europe.

   Who cares about the farmers. They should be more productive then. Also, stuff that comes from south America is not the same as europe. The internal commodities will still exist for different purposes.

   Let me tell you folk, the chinese are already importing tons of goods and minerals from south America, and even building their companies over there. China will swallow all the production and industries, and people over here in Europe will be unemployed, with more crisis. Then I want to see with inflation, unemployment, and social collapse where the ambientalists and farmers will be….

11. I thought EU was for the specialities of the different regions with protected brand names. Is this now gone?

12. EU have been given the authority to stand on guard of these pepole, now screwing them over.
    My opinion? Vonderlayen country (Germany) needs to open new export maket, but since the countries have nothing ealse to trade, our farming must suffer it.
    EU should lost their authority over such matter since it obviously is serving interest of few, at expense of regular Europeans.
