RTVSLO, the Slovenian national broadcaster, has revealed the artists that will compete in EMA 2025.

The twelve artists that will compete in EMA 2025 have been revealed by RTVSLO. The reveal of the artists took place across four hours, with artists and song titles revealed at 20 minute intervals. The EMA 2025 artists are:

Eva Pavli – “Niti” (Neither)
KiKi – “O-ou!”
Jon Vitezič – “Vse ti dam” (I give you everything)
Trine – “Grace”
Klemen – “How much time do we have left?”
Žan Videc – “Pusti da gori” (Let it burn)
ANNA – “Čau” (Bye)
July Jones – “New Religion”
ZveN- “Divja”(Wild)
PolarAce – “Kind”
Astrid & The Scandals – “Touché”
RAI – “Frederick’s Dead”

EMA 2025 will take place on February 1. The results will be decided across two rounds of voting. In the first round, five juries will award points Eurovision style (1-8, 10 and 12). Each jury will contain five members and will contain members from a certain group of people. The five juries are:

Music jury (singers, musicians, producers, songwriters creators etc.)
Television jury (editors, presenters, directors, choreographers etc.)
Radio jury (radio editors, journalists, presenters, etc.)
OGAE Slovenia jury
International Eurovision influencer jury (bloggers, vloggers, online journalists etc.)

After the juries cast their votes, the top two songs will advance to the superfinal. In the superfinal, the winner will be chosen by public voting. The winning entry will represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel.

Raiven represented Slovenia at Eurovision 2024, qualifying for the Grand Final with her song “Veronika”. She came in 23rd place, scoring 27 points.

Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest

Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 22 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995 when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points. She is closely followed by Nuša Derenda who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
