This warrant was held by the British brand until 1940, following Edward’s abdication. In 1925, the Queen Mother commissioned a pearl necklace from Asprey, which was subsequently gifted to Princess Margaret on her 18th birthday in 1948.
When Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles were married in 1981, Crown Prince Fahd of Saudi Arabia gifted her a stunning set of sapphire and diamond jewelry to complement her engagement ring. Asprey was later commissioned to repurpose some of the gems into a velvet choker that Diana also wore as a headband.
Since then, Kate has chosen to wear the earrings on several occasions, including the 2022 and 2023 Trooping the Colour parades and a Shaping Us event in November 2023.
In April 2021, Kate was seen wearing a striking pair of earrings and a matching necklace from Asprey London in a series of portraits celebrating her and Prince William‘s 10th wedding anniversary.
The pieces feature micro marquise diamond petals and a pave diamond center, all set in 18ct white gold.
Reports suggest that the necklace is worth around $12,590, while the earrings are estimated to retail for at least $28,955.
