Syrian Druze brigade reluctant to give up arms in uncertain times • FRANCE 24 English

Syria’s new rulers have called for the disbanding of all armed groups. But in the southwestern town of Suwayda, a small group of Druze fighters are reluctant to give up their arms. Fighters from religious minority say they prefer to rely on their own men, rather than promises made by Syria’s transitional authorities led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.

  4. Druze are not Muslim, to say 'they practice moderate Islam' , that is false.
    Moderate Islam is different, you can look at Malaysia🇲🇾.

  5. Some group of them announced they want Israel to annex their territory and thus join their Israeli brothers 😮

  6. Druze women and girls are not cover up with Hijab, Niqab or even Burka, that may not be acceptable to a new HTS ruler. Giving up your fire arms now can means losing all your rights much quicker instead of just some.

  21. I wouldn’t either to Islamists, Jihadists, Fundamentalists, Taliban, AlQaeda, or anyone of those religious groups. Has anyone not learned from them for over 2000 years. Nothing has changed.

    Druze ain’t throwing arms because they are actively trying to extinguish the last ember of the arab spring and claim the southern Governorates as a puppet state that act as a buffer zone for the israeli-occupied golan heights
    Druze are actively conspiring with united hebrew emirates and syria’s number 1 enemy israel
    And many videos have already surfaced on the internet of druze elders calling for isreal to “take up action” against their own nation
    Druze are commiting high treason and if they don’t stop they will risk full consequences and then you will step in and claim that “islamists” (and by islamists you actually means ordinary sunni muslim syrians)are oppressing minorities
    We grew tired of this pact of minorities actively conspiring against the absolute majority of the arab world
    I hope that the time has come (in syria at least) for minorities to know their place and that they have full rights to express their identities and celebrate their religious and ethnic holidays because the majority has allowed them to do so and any foul play should trigger Immediate revocation of these privileges

May God protect from the evil predators who wants to suppress each other by power and blood already in their hands. Keep your fence strong and security, dnt know when thieves might enter at any time.
