  1. The guy is like a skid mark in the toilet bowl of politics that just won’t disappear no matter how hard you scrub.

  2. Anyone who invests into a betting syndicate that uses any kind of algorithm to predict results just needs to look at what has happened to Man City this season to realise its not a guaranteed thing.

Actually what I think has happened here is Campbell’s son has been trying to organise wide scale matched betting and used an algorithm to edge his margin. Matched betting is the only surefire way to outplay the bookies . The problem is, if bookies find out you are doing that, they restrict your bets, and in some markets seize your funds.

Margins from this sort of practice are ultra fine so it only takes a few over hedged bets on Man City and a few winnings being seized to completely ruin any margins for a long time.

  3. Gamblers gambled and lost, so what’s the news here?

  4. Put in normal language his son was a gambler and scammed his dad and his greedy mates out of their money. Put in their terms the son ran a syndicate investing in an algorithm that predicted football results. Expect to see daddy on lots more tv quiz shows – the jungle awaits or has he done that.

  5. Investing in the son of one of the highest profile liars in living memory is pretty stupid though.

  6. Angry leftist caught doing fraud while taking part in the biggest anti-working class scam on earth, betting.

    Absolutely amazing.

  7. The apple did fall far from the tree. Can’t stand this bloke, hate the way he has weaselled his way back into the public fold spouting on about metal health and what not. He should count himself extremely fortunate not to be rotting in a cell somewhere, instead he has the brass neck to demand everyone has sympathy for him and tell him how clever and wonderful he is.

  8. Don’t “invest” in a betting syndicate, especially don’t invest in one associated with Alistair fucking Campbell. I’m not happy you lost all your money but I’m certainly not sad about it
