LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) – The No. 16 Kentucky Wildcats opened Southeastern Conference play with a record win against Mississippi State Thursday night.
The Cats set a new school record for most made three-pointers in a game with 18 made shots from beyond the arc.
UK led by 14 points at the halftime break and won handedly, 91-69.
The team shot 54.5% overall from beyond the arc and improves to 12-1 overall — the program’s best start since the 2018-19 season.
UK also set a school record for most points scored in an SEC opener.
Four players scored in double figures including Georgia Amoore and Dazia Lawrence, who combined for 55 points.
