Is there a simple reason why in these countries the proportion of males is so big?
Is this children, or adults, or the whole population? If most war fighting is done by young males, the childbearing age and working population might be closer to 100:100.
Persian gulf region but Iran (aka Persia) is not on your list. It’s like saying countries around Gulf of Mexico without including Mexico in your study.
