  1. Andrew Norfolk, the paper’s former chief investigative reporter, said that such abuse would never be fully stamped out until there was proper research into and understanding of the issues of religion, culture and social cohesion that had allowed criminals to flourish.

  2. We don’t understand how cultures who treat women as objects and who value the honour of men over the needs of women harbour men who treat women as objects?

Definitely needs to be studied and addressed, but let’s not pretend it’s a mystery.

  3. Rape gangs.

They went far beyond grooming. Many times.

  4. Well, the victims themselves said the police and social services thought of them as just cheap slappers who liked fucking older men for money and booze. So, I guess, stop thinking horrible things like that might help?

  5. I don’t get the whole “I’m afraid to tell the truth in case I’m accused of being racist”.

Something about that doesn’t sit right with me.

If you are certain that you know the truth, you want to protect children and you are comfortable with equality, diversity and inclusion then why are you afraid?

It doesn’t make sense. Can someone enlighten me?

  6. They are still allowed to flourish, i’ve made previous post’s on this sub regarding those convicted in the rotheram abuse.

3/4 hours spent on OSINT and you have clear evidence of covicted individuals who should be by now repatriated, yet these individuals are holed up in hotels & setting up businesses, the rest left to move about freely unmonitored.

You also have the co accused’s having multiple addresses, multiple business intrests, taxi licences, take away food shops. morgage deeds all changing hands to family members, names changed to obscure from the obvious attempts to avoid detection by home office & hmrc.

Ethnicity is used as guise where by given names are switched around, first names left out, digits changed ect ect all for financial gain and the belief they above every one else even uk citizens.

These individuals have allready made a mockery of the establishment, they’ve acted with impunity, had the lightest sentences given possible for the most wicked types of crimes comitted against children, sexual exploitation, trafficking, rape, abuse both phsycial & mental.

    Yet :

These individuals are left to carry on and make a mockery of the establishment, its various arms of reach, hmrc, the home office they are actively commiting fraud continuing with their belief they can do what they want and some in the belief they have a right to abuse young white british children because there ethnicity or beliefs say this is allowed.

Pathetic to think that the billions / millions pumped in to the civil service and these people can make a mockery of it yet some are not even british citizens, are on a list to be repatriated, known convicted sexual offenders, multiple addresses, multiple businesses, some acting directors yet collectively the british justice system, uk agencies cant get a handle on them nor monitor known predatory peadophile movements correctly.

All the above can also be proven but a perma ban would likely come for disclosing personal details of said individuals.

  7. Because they knew they could get away with it, they went for children from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. No doubt the police and social workers were from similar areas and classed them as the “benefits lot”. It’s a cocktail of racism, classism and misogyny. Those victims who are able to should be fully funded to qualify as a social workers and sit on the decision making boards. This should be completely disbanded and never happen again.

  8. I think more than one culture is to blame in this situation.

  9. The scale of this child rape gang/network is insane. Anyone know if I’m missing any?

  10. At least this person has some credibility, The Times did a great deal to bring this to public attention 14 years ago. Pretty shit rag nowadays.

  11. Quoting from the Independent Inquiry into child sex abuse report from 2018:

*”The evidence demonstrated that the children who attended the school had a range of complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism and mental health. Many had also suffered from adverse experiences in their family life and had already been abused. We concluded that, far from taking additional steps to protect these children, the school and other institutions had come to regard their sexual abuse while at Knowl View as almost expected, or as something that could not be prevented”*

*”Sexual exploitation of children from the school at Smith Street public toilets was known about by the authorities from at least 1989. Indeed, some Social Services’ staff could see the toilets from their offices, recognised some of the boys as children in care and were deeply suspicious of what was going on, although there was no apparent follow-up.”*

*”Subsequent police investigations show that the police did not turn a blind eye to the sexual exploitation of boys in Rochdale town centre. They knew children were being exploited in Smith Street toilets, but did not obtain suffcient evidence to prosecute. There is evidence of a willingness on the part of police offcers to investigate. Nevertheless, the records that survive do not provide any satisfactory answer as to why police did not charge anyone, despite knowing the names of men involved and obtaining some disclosures from the boys who were victims.”*

*”We heard evidence from Richard Farnell, who was Leader of Rochdale Council from 1986 until 1992. He denied being aware at that time of what was occurring at the school for which, ultimately, he had responsibility. In the light of other evidence we heard, we did not believe him. It defies belief that Mr Farnell was unaware of the events involving Knowl View School, especially within the context of a public scandal in 1990–91 about children in the care of Rochdale Council. We also reject the notion that Mr Farnell was not alerted by the then Chair of Education, the late Mary Moffatt, about a further potential risk to the reputation of the Council, let alone its statutory duty of care towards abused children. Regarding Mr Farnell’s final statements at the hearing, it was shameful that he refused to accept any personal responsibility for the young lives blighted by what happened at the school while he was Leader. Instead, he laid all blame for what occurred at the door of the senior officials in Education and Social Services. It was also the view of the Chair and Panel that Paul Rowen, Liberal Democrat Leader from 1992 to 1996, bore considerable responsibility for the school during his tenure. As with Richard Farnell, he was prepared to blame others without acknowledging his own failures of leadership, including his decision to give the school’s problems low priority”*

This is the culture that needs investigating.

  12. The cause? Vile men who like abusing young women is the cause. And what caused it to flourish? Victims being ignored by social services and the police. Again

  13. I don’t understand this. Is it not pretty obvious what led to it? Men wanted to rape children, so they did. Then the police protected them, so they continued.

  14. Poverty is the reason. North of England is severely lacking in all basic amenities and infrastructure. The government gives not one shit about the north until its election time.

  15. Blocked because he can’t accept his agenda is weird. Lol. Tissue hun?

  16. What a strange article.

Interesting the times headline suggests Norfolk hasnt been able to identify the reasons why this happened….even though he has, many times in this article and previous articles, mad clear statements on the cause of this issue such as: “anxieties over appearing racist saw safeguarding officers waving away concerns simply because the perpetrators were Asian”.

The police, the councils and others are directly complicit.

What musk parrots on twitter really isnt relevant and this defence of Starmer seems strange coming from Norfolk all of a sudden….?
