  17. There was zero need to mention what Elon Musk thinks of her. I’m sure the locals who lost their houses had plenty to say about her why not quote them? He isn’t even from LA. His opinion of her (or anything else for that matter) shouldn’t be centred.

  19. I’m just looking at the comments here about Elon Musk and I’d preface this with saying that I’m not a fan of him, so at the beginning I was thinking “who cares what Elon thinks.”

    Could it be that it’s relevant to know what Elon thinks since he and Vivek Ramiswami are in charge of DOGE? They’re planning on cutting funding to lots of government schemes (like education) and the wildfires would paint a picture of what’s to come?

    These are the kinds of questions for after an emergency, imagine walking up to a firefighter in the middle of their job and trying to undermine their confidence like this, Oh you missed a bit there mate, you’re fucking shit at firefighting.

    Especially after the reporter cited the remarks of a certain controversial social media mega troll – in a fashion that almost implied the troll in question is some sort of oracle of unwaivering wisdom whose intemperate, spiteful, deranged and unhinged alleged drug addled nocturnal ramblings should invite a groveling reverence usually reserved for divinity.

    Especially farcical considering the incoming president has appointed the figure in question to head some sort of “Department of Government Efficiency” aka an austerity tsar charged with taking money away from government agencies who oversee things like emergency services, law enforcement and social programs designed to help impoverished or economically deprived USA citizens.

    The smarmy off the cuff allusion to the alleged blood diamond trust fund troll -cum- incoming austerity tsar kind of undermined and muddied what was otherwise a fairly incisive and warranted line of questioning.

  38. reminds me of Andrew Neil interviewing Ben Shapiro – Neil is million miles from tree hugging leftie but annoyed Shapiro intensely by asking him actual questions to the point where Shapiro cut short the interview! – Think US politicians may be not be as used to an actual “Grilling” as ours are!

  39. I’m so glad they followed up the 40 second video with a 3 minute text recap of what I’d just watched to royalty free background music. There was a lot going on and that really made things much more understandable for me, an absolute world-class moron.
