  1. Wild that something big is happening again when she’s releasing new content. Like Queen Elizabeth dying right after Archetypes podcast. (I’m not trying to make any of these unfortunate events about Meghan just saying.)

  2. This is unfortunate but I think it’s the correct move in this instance. She would have to go on the promotional rounds, which she doesn’t want to do right now, and means the staff for those events who are locals can’t focus on their needs. Tons of productions and launches are being delayed and it has nothing to do with how good or bad they are.

  3. This woman could cure cancer and they would be “she cured cancer on the anniversary of the princess of wales best friend dog vaccination. All for attention “.

  4. Wonder if all the people who said she was “out of touch” for coming out with this show when nothing was happening will appreciate her requesting the delay now that something actually bad has happened.

    Ah, who am I kidding.

  5. Probably the right call. LA is gonna be a mess for quite awhile. 🫤

  6. It’s the right thing to do. Everyone in LA is either affected or knows people that are affected. That includes the people who work on the show and probably Meghan herself. It’s just isn’t the right time.

  7. Los Angeles is going to be a huge mess for awhile. It’s nice for her to keep the focus on charity work a f rebuilding that will need to be done. They have already been out in the community and I am sure we will see them doing a lot to help those who need it most.

  8. I was hoping she would postpone bcoz if she didn’t it would have caused a lot of backlash. I mean there is criticism in general whenever she does something but releasing her show amidst current circumstances would have given her haters legitimate reasons for talking crap.

  9. I’m confused, isn’t the show 100% done and ready to go? Why would it need to be postponed ?

  10. I’m disappointed because I’m looking forward to the show, but this was a compassionate decision to make.

  11. Ok, over the past couple of weeks:

Meghan announces a cooking show: “She’s completely out of touch and doesn’t care what the average person is going through.”

An awful wildfire starts in LA, and Meghan invites her friends to stay with her: “Of course she’s only helping her rich friends and is doing nothing to help the displaced lower-class victims.”

Meghan and Harry volunteer to help LA wildfire victims and provide them with comfort: “OMG, she’s only doing this to promote her show! What an attention-seeker!”

Meghan delays her show out of respect for the wildfire victims: “Wow, she only delayed it because she wants all the media attention!

Jfc, Meghan truly cannot do anything without upsetting people.

  12. absolutely had to be done. people would rip her apart if they show came out right now (which would be insanely unfair but thats her reality)

  13. Honestly this is the correct call under the circumstances. Good for them for reading the room.

  14. When your hate for someone appears to be stronger than your love for anyone …..

  15. It seems a bit odd. The date must’ve been chosen months ago, it would make no sense to call her/Netflix insensitive or whatever, it’s not like she/they could’ve predicted the fire, and I assume plenty of other shows/movies are airing anyway…
To call it an act of compassion…idk, does postponing it actually help anyone? Or would airing it hurt anyone? I mean… haters are gonna hate no matter what, fans are gonna be supportive no matter what, too.

That being said, it does make sense PR-wise for several reasons – and honestly, based on the trailer, the show seems like a better fit for spring, anyway. And it’s true that they wouldn’t be able to promote the show properly in these circumstances. (I’m talking about talkshows etc. – that’s the part that could be labeled tone-deaf right now.)
It might also work better for the ARO brand, if this means they will be able to release the products simultaneously with the show.

It does surprise me, though, as I still saw the promo with the original date on Netflix just a few hours ago. When the first rumours appeared, I honestly thought tabloids were just tabloiding. Well, even a broken clock…
