Signed. Not much of a gamer, have never been affected by the built in obsolescence but seems like an injustice.
The only concern I have is that games are often designed to run on a certain spec of hardware. They need to be able to go obsolete in line with the hardware obsolescence. How is that line drawn?
Wasn’t there already one of these? What happened to it?

I’ll never forgive Microsoft for ending the backwards compatibility on The Godfather 360 game. That shit was my childhood
Xonpa 8es are not going to have servers running forever for 20 and 30 year old games
I’m curious how “disabling” would work legally speaking. Technically, someone has entered into a contract to buy a product, has bought it etc. Then, somehow the seller has a right to reneg? At least, I’d imagine that would entitle the person to a refund.
i don’t even game but i’m a big believer in consumer rights. rights that we’ve lost and continue losing, from most industries if not all
