  1. I take it you have never been to Hungary or held a conversation with a Hungarian?

  2. The land they lost was full of eastoids, so no real loss to them long term. The real issue is that they also lost access to Slovenian femboys, which is an understandable reason to be mad.

  3. Austria-Hungary was the Yugoslavia before Yugoslavia. You’d think they’d learn not to do that again, but no.

Austria didn’t cry like Germany because by the end there they were relieved to get the shackles off from Hungary and the rest of them. Now, Hungary on the other hand…

  4. I have great sentiments for Franz Josef, and here is a post like this. It made me sad.

  5. The lands austria slightly gave a fuck about were bohemia and carinthia/slovenia. If they forced salzburg independence a little hungary mightve been born

  6. So this is the reason why an Austrian started round 2

  7. You have never talked with an Austrian about Südtirol, haven’t you?

  8. Hungarians whined much harder than Germany ever will. And Austrians couldn’t really claim the land they lost were “theirs”, as barely any Austrians inhabited them. So, wrong on all counts

  9. To be fair, losing Hungary shouldn’t be considered an Austrian loss (it was an independent kingdom in personal union)

  10. It’s all Hungary’s fault, who were later rightfully almost as utterly dismembered. We should probably give away that awfull contry to some other terrible and abusive empire.

  11. Living in Budapest my conclusion is that they were way better off under Hapsburgs

  12. *13% if you exclude the colonies
But then why would you include non-hungarian territories in your meme?

  13. I view both as the losses of Greater-Germany.

So to all involved: “Gib back mein clay!”

  14. And? Technically both of you belong to the Vaterland.

    *setzt Pickelhaube auf*

    Großdeutschland wird wiederkehren, Bergleute.

  15. What are you talking about?

Compared to 1914, Germany lost about half.

  16. one lost land with majority minority speakers, the other lost land with german speakers
