2. Has our country actually gone this far down the shitter, or are things just getting reported on alot more recently and things were always this bad?

   Mostly rhetorical since I’ve watched my area go to absolute shit in the last 5-10 years. But still.

3. The problem is we can’t take the issue into our own hands, we rely on an incompetent government to protect us? It isn’t fair.

   Preventing crime is easier than dealing with its consequences.
