  1. Fun fact of today:

The oldest countries still being considered the same one (as in, they haven’t changed government (like Spain or Italy) are

    1.- Vatican City, 1274
2.- San Marino, 1600 (but that’s the constitution per se, it was founded as is in 301BC)

France comes close, 1792, but current government is from 1958, so it’s kinda debatable; and Japan founded in 11/2/660BC, but current “version” is from 1885, so also debatable. There are more examples, but this ones come to mind easy.

In short, shit americans say indeed

  2. Does he mean no constitution/dynasty has existed beyond 250 years? Even so, that doesn’t take into account places like the UK or San Marino

  3. Tbf no nation that’s older than 250 years has made this sub so obsessed with it. What is with all these American posts.

  4. This year my country celebrates 1000 anniversary of becoming a kingdom. Rookie numbers compared to you, westoids, and we didn’t exist for 123 years because of *reasons* but seeing as even my eastoid country has a restaurant dating back to 1273 (the oldest one in Europe I think) I guess we are still more civilized than those savages.

  5. So sick of this regarded argument! Everything about their logic is bs

  6. Don’t you hate it when people respond to obvious ragebait

  7. Even if we are talking about nation state concepts, San Marino fucking exists.

  8. Bergen’s City Hall is older than America. and has been Used for the city Government since before the recolonization of Greenland Started

  9. America is not a nation, and that’s all that has to be said about that.

  10. Is it just me or does anyone else not give a flying fuck what some random bellend on twitter or whatever this is says?

Why even make a post on this shite?
