And… “China is the world’s leading manufacturer of solar panels, supplying over 80% of the world’s solar PV material. This is due to large investments in new PV capacity and manufacturing jobs.”
In the country that the UN classifies as 2nd worst for solar, just behind Ireland
Government approves project that is inline with it’s stated goals. The investor is prolific environmentalist entrepreneur Dale Vince, who has donated to labour, but is investing entirely his own money in this project.
This is hardly bunging Michelle Mone £200 million in covid contracts,
torygraph gonna torygraph
Labour looking after their “mates”
Oh Torygraph.
An just like the telegraph suddenly cares about the preferential treatment party donors get. Building renewable energy infrastructure is such a terrible thing to do as well, they could have just walked off with billions in taxpayers money for dodgy PPE contracts instead.
Ew, don’t they know an attempt to make us less reliant on Russian gas is a communist plot?
If you take the Telegraph at face value then I have a handful of magic beans to sell you.
The answer is blowing in the wind huh?
Fantastic news. Solar is the cheapest available way to produce energy. We need way more of it. Or we can keep relying on the expensive Russian/American oil and gas
…Why is this a bad thing? A huge solar farm sounds like a really good thing to have. Sounds like it should have been approved. Guess the Torygraph only likes to give out rights for highly polluting forms of energy?
Dale Vince has my support. He is a self made man who does a lot of good for the UK.
He got the ev charging infrastructure off the ground years ago.
If it’s in line with national policy why wouldn’t it be?
