2. Why is this a shock? It’s what the right says isn’t happening but everyone else says is happening.

   That asylum seekers (young men) come first cause it’s dangerous and then send for their families

10. The UK has a long and rich history of migration.

    Romans (43 AD – 410 AD), Anglo-Saxons (5th-6th centuries), Vikings (8th-11th centuries), Normans (1066), Jews (11th-13th centuries), Commonwealth migration (1948 onward), Eastern Europeans (EU expansion, 2004) and recently the Middle East.

    These migrations have profoundly influenced England’s culture, language, cuisine, and identity, making it a richly diverse society.

    I’m sure this recent group won’t be the last group of people to migrate to the UK.
