Not sure how to read this chart. Can someone show me where 3196 is?
that’s why I only use 1984
This was very informative and aesthetically pleasing.
This is fantastic but why does mouse-hover not show your coordinates?! I want to see how common my PIN(s) are…
Nice! I printed it to PDF.
Basically the best thing you can do with a 4 digit pin is make the 3rd digit 0.
Turns out the PIN I picked as an 11 year old is a very good one.
really cool visualization and explenations, but i do wish the graphic was interactive and i could mouseover the grid to see specific datapoints and their prevelance
When this grid went around a year ago, people pointed out that [1701 is also a popular pin](https://www.reddit.com/r/coolguides/s/zAMvKN3GwX) because it’s the number of the Enterprise in Star Trek.
I was worried 8632 was going to show up.. I did well
I’m sure glad that 1077 isn’t up there, that’s the price of a large soda and cheese pizza at Panucci’s Pizza
But what’s the top least used codes?
One time my bank sent me the temporary PIN (to confirm my identity for two-factor authentication) and it was 12345. And I thought “wow what are the odds?”

taking the personal out of personal identification number. lol
this is rad.
the 19XX line then becoming a 20XX line is a trip.
I wonder why 0 seems to be such an uncommon number for the third digit outside of dates.
Here’s mine. Am I safe?

Of course, the answer is one in 100,000.
