On Saturday 25th January, at least 25 vehicles were involved in several criminal incidents across the Cambridgeshire fenland area.
Several phone calls had been made to 999. Crimes including reckless driving, car fires, criminal damage, and hare coursing were reported. Video evidence recorded by the criminals themselves showed wreckless driving through crop fields.
Local MP, Steven Barclay, held a prompt meeting on Monday 27th January with the Cambridgeshire police crime commissioner, where hundreds were in attendance. Chief Constable Nick Dean described it as one of the largest public engagement meetings he had ever attended.

I wouldn’t expect sane responses to this on here OP.
You wreak havoc, you dont wreck it. Havoc wrecks you.
Pathetic police response as usual. Travellers need to be stripped of their protected status and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law when these types of crimes are committed.

# MP Steve Barclay: ‘Lessons need to be learned’
“I think from the number of people here speaks volumes about the incidents and the wider issues around the farming community.
“That’s why I, Charlie and Tim felt it was important to hold an urgent meeting so that everybody involved could have their say.
“It is also recognition that lessons need to be learned.”
