  1. Small point, but the second “key takeaway” is contradicted by the graph: “Although Russia has a larger inventory, the U.S. deploys more warheads on intercontinental missiles and heavy bomber bases.”

    The US deploys more warheads on missiles, bombers, AND short-range delivery systems. But Russia deploys more on missiles and bombers according to the graph.

    Russia does have short-range tactical delivery systems, not sure why they’re not in the data

  2. It’s crazy how much smaller the US and Russian arsenals are now compared to when I was a kid. Although perhaps more crazy anyone ever thought they really needed 25,000 nukes to begin with.
