Shops and firms will not be forced to accept cash

  1. Perfectly reasonable, if they’re not forcing shops and firms to accept card, I see no reason why they should be able to force cash.

    We have a right to a basic bank account in this country, which all of the 9 largest current account providers are legally obligated to offer.

  3. It’s their company so they have a right to decide how they run it. If they want a cashless business then that’s up to them. Take your business elsewhere if you disagree with a company doing this.

    Cash brings alot of extra expenses and risks to a business so I understand why they would not want to deal with it and would rather just pay the card fee’s.

  4. Use cash or lose it forever.

    No more selling stuff on FB marketplace, or literally ANY exchange of money without the banks and your government knowing about it.
