The Finnish public broadcaster Yle will once again be broadcasting Melodifestivalen live to viewers across the nation.
Yle will be airing Melodifestivalen 2025 both live and on delay to viewers across Finland. The Swedish selection will be broadcast live on the streaming platform Yle Areena from 20:00 CET, with a delayed broadcast on Yle TV1 later that evening.
The Finnish broadcaster has been broadcasting Melodifestivalen on its channels for over a decade. For 2025 Finnish language commentary is being provided by Kike Bertell.
Melodifestivalen 2025 will take place across six cities in Sweden. All six shows will be hosted by Keyyo and Edvin Törnblom. The dates, places and host cities for the shows are:
Heat 1: February 1 â Coop Norrbotten Arena, LuleĂ„
Heat 2: Feburary 8 â Scandinavium, Gothenburg
Heat 3: Feburary 15 â VĂ€sterĂ„s Arena, VĂ€sterĂ„s
Heat 4: February 22 â Malmö Arena, Malmö
Heat 5: March 1 â Husqvarna Garden, Jönköping
Final: March 8 â Strawberry Arena, Stockholm
The winner of Melodifestivalen 2025 will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel.

Finland first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961. They debuted alongside Spain and Yugoslavia. Finland has finished last in the contest on 10 occasions and has received ânul pointsâ three times. It wasnât until 2006 that Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi represented the country in Athens with the song âHard Rock Hallelujahâ scoring 292 points, a record total at the time
