  1. Would mean an awful lot of dup and tuv lads getting arrested, would it not?

  2. Unfortunately for the piranha from Fermanagh, having been in devolved government with members and commanders of the IRA, shes kinda already legitimised them. They even have Royal endorsement, the IRA. Enabling IRA members to enact legislation and then complaining about glorifying terrorists is a bit silly isn’t it?

  3. Fucking hypocrite

She’s glorified loyalist terrorism herself the cunt

  4. The Law should be changed so people that have the face of a well chewed caramel shouldn’t appear on tv.. but here we are and I occasionally have the miss-fortune of having her ugly bake on my screen.

  5. So will she not be at the next Armed Forces Day or Remembrance Sunday then? Coz the british army murdered more innocent people in *a single day* in India than the RA managed in 30 years. There are statues of Arthur “Bomber” Harris in England. He made no bones about the fact his strategy was to kill as many civilians as possible, and in fact objected to the wartime government telling the public he was carrying out precision raids on factories as opposed to the indescriminate bombing of residential areas. Will the authorities who erected these statues be arrested?

Or is it only terrorism when other people do it? That’s a rhetorical question btw

  6. I think as long as it applies to everyone, in all circumstances, then the past should be left in the past

    But not selectively

  7. *BBC article outlining her comments in detail*

    >The law should be changed so that people in authority like Michelle O’Neill can be prosecuted for glorifying terrorism, according to a former DUP leader.

    >Baroness Arlene Foster referred to the appearance of the first minister at a recent commemoration in Magherafelt for three IRA members killed when the bomb they were driving blew up prematurely in 1971.

    >Speaking in the House of Lords she said: “If the current first minister of Northern Ireland is intent on continuing the glorification of terrorism, and at best be reckless to the consequence of that, then surely that should be a matter the security minister should delve into.

    >”A change in the law is required to deal with those in authority who continue to exalt and deify terrorists who caused so much hurt and pain.”

    >’Violence glamorised’
Sinn Féin’s O’Neill and Baroness Foster worked together as first and deputy first minister at Stormont for a number of years.

    >Baroness Foster said every time there is a commemoration like the one attended by O’Neill in Magherafelt it retraumatises victims and “needs called out on every occasion it happens”.

    >She added: “The very public act of commemoration also sends a very clear message to young republicans that what these young men did was honourable.

    >”It glamorises what they did and in the minds of young impressionable people who have little knowledge and experience of the IRA, it makes them sound like heroes, which patently they weren’t.

    >”If we allow people in positions of authority to glorify terrorism in the way the current first minister of Northern Ireland does then it normalises terrorism in a cyclical way and will lead to young people being radicalised again.”

    >Baroness Foster said the chanting of “ooh ah, up the ra” by young people is a symptom of the glorification of terrorism.

    >”If all you know about the IRA is that they took on the Brits and the current first minister of Northern Ireland says they were a great bunch of lads then you’ll think ‘ooh ah up the ra’ is a grand wee chant.

    >”These young people know little about the devastation, murder, intimidation, and barbarity of the IRA, because it’s not something the current first minister of Northern Ireland talks about.”

    >Sinn Féin has been contacted for comment

  8. We’ve no chance until all of the dinosaurs like Foster have died off.

  9. Hope it happens, & the fact that people within these comments think it’s ok to be glorifying terrorists, yet spit vulgar hatred towards a woman, who is happy to condemn all terrorism, says more about them than her.

  10. Speaking as a soft unionist Foster has been a godsend for Republicanism. Every time she speaks…..😖

  11. Someone should ask her if the fire bombing of dresden is not a war crime only because the allies won.

  12. Old Dudley needs to give it a rest. He’s never going to be a wizard like harry.

  13. Who is this man and why is he wearing a dress suit

  14. Can they not see the UVF and UDA in the same light?
Did I not read a DUP mp say an ex UVF should get an MBE?

Why can they not see it?

  15. Is this the same Arlene Foster who read a eulogy at the funeral of UDA / Ulster Resistance terrorist Willie Frazer who has been linked to over 100 murders? Surely not.

  16. Can she not just fuck off concentrate on trying to catch The Smurfs?

  17. Did anything ever happen to arlene following the heat incentive scandal?

  18. Bitter old cow. She is a prime example of how troubles related trauma can destroy a person inside and out

  19. As with the last time Trump was in power in the States a lot of unionists and loyalists are going to feel more empowered.

Sadly rather than do anything positive with that feeling they’ll simply, again, try to ape Trump and they’ll be extra vocal in calling for the punishment of everyone and everything that goes against their bitter ideology in any way.

It’ll be a long few years and they’ll get dumber and more hypocritical as it goes on but we’ll get the occasional laugh out of their guff if nothing else.

  20. Ok, I’m sick of this.

For the last time, if they’re chosen by God they can’t be a terrorist.

You’re not allowed call William of Orange a terrorist. Ok, he punished and killed innocent civilians with sieges, starvation and intimidation, and yes, some would say he terrorised with little to no care whatsoever, but that doesn’t make him a terrorist, right?!?!?!

    He. Had. A. Fancy. Hat!!!!!!!!

    Terrorists don’t have fancy hats!!!

  21. That’s rich from a woman who gave a glowing eulogy at Willie frazers funeral
