In a foreword written by the princess, Kate says: “This report sets out a universal approach to understanding these core social and emotional skills throughout all stages of our lives. It highlights the skills which are the bedrock of any healthy, happy society and it helps individuals and organisations understand the ways in which they can contribute to making this conceptual model a living, breathing reality for everybody.
“It lays out why early childhood is such a golden opportunity to give the next generation the most positive start in life. But it also shows that these skills continue to grow throughout adulthood — it is never too late.”

Is there something wrong with this article?
Honestly I like Kate, but I somewhat resent being told how to parent my child by someone with a cook, cleaners, a nanny, gardeners, housekeepers etc. If I had all that support, I’m sure I’d be a perfect parent.
I doubt Kate has ever come home from a ten hour day in an office, cooked dinner, cleaned the kitchen while her kid eats, scrubbed their filthy nursery outfit and then wanted to flick through instagram for two minutes while they play.
Sure, don’t sit on your phone 24/7, but a little isn’t going to harm anyone.
That title is purposefully misleading to inflame critics. The PoW is not telling parents to look at their kids and not their phone. She wrote a foreword to an official report for the early years initiative, which proposed that parental involvement in young children is critical for their entire future.
