  1. It’s probably a better solution than an eternal conflict.

  2. I know we don’t like Trump.
But the US is a huge trading partner for us, and the value of the contracts and the jobs they create across the UK and Ireland are critical for our economies. These St Patrick’s Day visits are an action of diplomacy. They require a certain amount of diplomatic behaviour, as a result. They’re not an endorsement of any given president or party. The companies we trade with don’t necessarily support Trump policies. I wouldn’t want people losing their jobs and livelihoods here because of that daft prick.
I like the idea of some parties boycotting, like SDLP and UUP. But realistically, governments need to govern regardless of the conditions or environment they have to work in. You can’t cut out the American economy and expect to survive. The UK economy is already in the toilet, don’t flush it.
Trump will eventually be gone, and this too will pass.

  3. I always thought Trump was just really stupid. I would never have called him insane.

    Until now.

  4. People in here supporting Trump bulldozing the whole of Gaza and turning it into luxury apartments. This sub has lost its fucking mind.

  5. Absolute slimeball just needs to go away. Get him and musk a first class ticket into the sun
Will give us all a bit of peace and quiet

  6. The EU and the US are cracking down on tax avoidance by corporations setting up offices in Ireland, the party will soon be over, may as well start breaking ties now.

  7. I hate to break it to you but Northern Ireland stands with the USA.

  8. Wait shinnerbot. Did not Michelle make her way over last year and the only nationalist party in NI that refused was the SDLP. Michelle will do as she is told much like yourself and will be over there quicker than you can say united Ireland trying to get the tan lines to fade better on that face
