TRM, the Moldovan public broadcaster, will air the 75th edition of Festival di Sanremo from February 11 to February 15.

After Romania and Montenegro, who already announced their broadcasting of the 75th Festival di Sanremo, Moldova is joining the list after a first experience in 2024.

Moldovan viewers can watch Sanremo from 20:25 CET live on Moldova 1. In Italy, Rai 1 will air the Festival together with Rai Radio 2, RaiPlay and RaiPlay Sound.

Twenty-nine artists will compete in the Festival di Sanremo 2025 in the Teatro Ariston. A radio jury, a press jury and public voting to determine the winner, who will be given the right to represent Italy in Basel in May.

After twenty participations in Eurovision Song Contest, Moldova cancelled its 2025 selection before withdrawing from the contest. This is the first time since 2005 that Moldova won’t participate. On their last appearance in the contest last year, Natalia Barbu finished 13th in the first semi-final with “In the Middle”.

Moldova debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 when the contest was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Moldova’s best result in the contest is 3rd place in 2017 for Sunstroke Project with “Hey Mamma!”. This was the second time the group had represented their country in Eurovision. Moldova has been represented by several artists who have competed in the contest before, with five acts having represented Moldova a combined eleven times.
